An Eccentric's Anthem
I like writing snippets of prose on the insides of empty cereal boxes for the garbage men or aliens to one day discover as they rummage through heaps of my trash.
I like eating black crickets that I find lurking around my overstocked pantry, full of popcorn, overexposed film, coffee cans, chocolate, broken pencils, and lots of hash.
On summer nights, I hide in the thickets to stare at every airplane that goes by, and take loads of Polaroid pictures to tape up inside the trunk of my rather shitty car.
I like collecting old issues of National Geographic, enough to last me half a lifetime ‘cause twenty years from now I plan to live on the dark side of a beautiful star.
