Collaborations With Meagan J. Meehan
I have collaborated with playwright/author Meagan J. Meehan on several projects, including acting in her short plays, illustrating her book Luna Mooney and the Man on the Moon, curating her funny poetry for my series "Poet Voice Sucks," commissioning her screenplay for my film Her Garden, and other creative works-in-progress (TBA.) Here are some samples of our work together:
Star and Guardian
I played the role of Stella, a lucky star, in Meagan J. Meehan's one-act play "Star and Guardian" for an Actor's Studio workshop in March 2022 and a short works festival held at Fifth Avenue Theatre in June 2022. My co-star was Monica Sharma.
Luna Mooney & the Man on the Moon
Meagan referred me to her publisher Acute By Design to illustrate her contracted children's book Luna Mooney & the Man on the Moon. The publisher hired me to illustrate the book, which is due out in 2023. You can check out merchandise featuring some illustrations from the book in this Redbubble shop.
The Values of Gold, Silver & Bronze
I played the role of Gold in Meagan's one-act play, "The Values of Gold, Silver & Bronze," at Westbury Arts in Westbury, NY in June 2021. The play received a mention in the Long Island Press and Newsday.
Thanks to the following individuals who donated to our fundraiser for the play: Kathy Miles, Mark & Cristina Stoddard, Laurie Elese Parker, Anne Albano, and Maria Sawoch Filippone.
A Soul to Squeeze
"A Soul to Squeeze" is a one-act play that Meagan originally conceived for Zoom during NYC's COVID-19 lockdown. I played the Angel alongside my co-star Donna Morales, who played the Devil, for the play's premiere, hosted by Manhattan's Riant Theatre in August 2020. This Zoom event was mentioned in Broadway World. In September 2020, Donna and I brought a revised version of the play to its feet at the Long Island Theatre Collective's Fall Festival, an outdoor, socially distanced theater event (as seen in Newsday). This live performance also featured actor Ben Nardolilli. In October 2020, Donna and I recorded the play as a video for my company Quail Bell Productions. The video has been picked up by NPower Network, a Roku channel, and the Equity Library Theater of New York Winter 2022 Virtual Play Festival.
