Collaborations with Aaron Gold aka The Gold Standard
I have worked on many collaborative projects with actor/comedian/writer/producer Aaron Gold.
Artist Statement:
We believe in the art of serious play, relying on both creative and comedic impulses to produce across media. Emotional resonance, vulnerability, and humor are central to our films, videos, live shows, and visuals. Drawing from our shared love of performance, we make still and moving images that not only represent our co-authored performances but document their ephemera, whether as physical objects or digital artifacts. While we feel inspired by our Latin and Jewish identities, most of our projects are intended for a wider, non-ethnically specific audience. We affirm that art and humor are for everyone.

Bio:
Aaron Gold and Christine Stoddard collaborate on the comedy TV show “Don’t Mind If I Don’t,” which is based off of Gold’s podcast. They co-starred in the short film “Uncontested,” which Stoddard wrote and directed. The artsy rom com racked up 5K views in its first month on YouTube after premiering at the Concourse Film Festival in the Bronx. They also co-starred in “De Colores (A Chorus of Melancholy),” directed by Stoddard, which won Best Experimental Film Project at the Latino Film Market. They have performed together as Art Bitch/Uncle Cornelius and Queen Jaguar/The Ambassador as character acts at Chashama Gala, The People’s Improv Theater, The Players Theatre, and elsewhere. Other film and theater collaborations have been featured at Short Films Matter, Coney Island USA, the Madison Arts Center, FiveMyles Gallery, and beyond. They recently completed their first poetry book together.
