Lenox Hill Neighborhood House
From August through December 2018, I was the first-ever artist-in-residence at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, a 125-year-old settlement house in Manhattan. During the residency, I had studio space where I experimented and created a variety of work. I also taught a six-session workshop in tissue paper painting to senior citizens the the organization's senior center.
My culminating solo show took place in the center's auditorium from December 2018-January 2019. I displayed some of the work created during the residency, including 2-D mixed media compositions and one sculpture. Work from my senior workshop was also displayed on the stage. At the end of my residency, Lenox Hill purchased one of my pieces for their permanent collection. |
