2017-2022 Sculpture Samples
At this time, I'm focusing on larger-scale work. The following was a statement applicable to my sculpture practice from my MFA and shortly thereafter, 2017-2022:
I make sculptures using a variety of materials, but mainly work with clay, paper, glass, and found objects in creating assemblages. My sculptures range in size from tiny to grand. Most of my sculpture work has been made during residencies, beginning with Annmarie Sculpture Garden in Maryland. I also completed independent study coursework with the ceramic sculptor Sylvia Netzer at The City College of New York-CUNY and displayed some of it in my thesis exhibition and VCUarts Anderson Gallery. You can find out more about that work in this interview with Collateral Journal.
After finishing my MFA in 2019 and through mid-2021, most of my sculpture work was created via my process as the artist-in-residence HeartShare Human Services, as well as commissioned installations. My most recent installations were on view at the Queens Botanical Garden ("Rabbit's Storytelling Throne," through September 8, 2020 and "Rabbit's Treasure Box," through April 4, 2021, respectively.) Today, I make sculptures to sell to independent collectors. Contact me to see what is available.
