I work in digital photography, generally in projects that take the form of a narrative series. Many of my photography projects also include a text component and are presented in book or video form, or in collaboration with a writer for pieces published in Quail Bell Magazine. I take the vast majority of promotional photos for my performance and film projects, as well.
From my "Regaining" series (2023 edit)
While an undergraduate at VCUarts, I won a national emerging artist grant in photography from the Puffin Foundation, which set me on the path to pursue my own fine art photography projects. I went on to earn an MFA in Digital & Interdisciplinary Art Practice from The City College of New York-CUNY. During my MFA, I was funded for an artist residency in photography, video, and writing at Laberinto Projects in El Salvador. Many of my grad school projects were photo-based and realized with the support of grants, scholarships, and residencies. At this time, I'm working on Fathers of Brooklyn and other projects.
I am the author of the photography collections Hello, New York—The Living and Dead and Utica Avenue and Beyond, as well as Force Fed, a book of letters, photographs, and napkin poems. Here are links to my photography and poetry books:

• Belladonna Magic (Shanti Arts)
• Water for the Cactus Woman (Spuyten Duyvil)
I also took the photographs for the book Agora by Gretchen Gales (published July 2023).

I also take and edit photos and direct photo shoots for clients, with a specialization in creative photo collages and illustrations. View sample galleries of "Mi Abuela, Queen of Nightmares" at the Gene Frankel Theatre, actor Aaron Gold, and "The Hard Knock Lyfe" at Theater Row.
The above photograph comes from my novelette, Naomi & The Reckoning, for which I did the cover and interior artwork.
